The Boards Aren't for Attacks

We have problems on the boards. I was afraid this would happen. People are using the boards to generate attacks on me the same way they used them to drive good people away from message boards on Silicon Investor and Yahoo!(YHOO).

This is a tragedy.

We are a club. We are members. If we think that certain people abuse the privilege by repeatedly attacking individuals, I think we should boot those people from the club.

I am a huge believer in the First Amendment. I think that people should have the right to say and do anything, except shout fire in a crowded theatre, preach genocide or libel people for crimes they have not committed.

I am writing this because we need to work together to keep this a club worthy of membership.

Our monitors are cracking down, and we should all send the message on the boards that we won't tolerate these ridiculous, attack posts.

The Web has plenty of other clubs for just these types. We don't need them in ours.
