GM Boosts Executive Performance Standards, Stock Requirements
General Motors (GM) said it told analysts it's raising the performance requirements for executive compensation and increasing the amount of stock its top executives are required to hold. The company said details would be spelled out in its proxy statement.

Earnings/revenue reports and previews
Creative Technology (CREAF) reported second-quarter earnings of 64 cents a share, in line with the six-analyst estimate but behind the year-ago 79 cents. Energy East (NEG) posted fourth-quarter earnings of 69 cents a share, on target with the five-analyst view and a penny above the year-ago figure. Citing sluggish holiday sales, Richardson Electronics (RELL) warned it sees third-quarter earnings falling "substantially" below the five-analyst forecast of 19 cents a share.
