AOL, NTL Rise on Partnership Talks

AOL Time Warner (AOL Quote) was up 3.9% in early afternoon after NTL (NLI Quote), Britain's biggest cable company said it is in talks about a possible partnership in Europe with the U.S. Internet and media giant.

NTL acknowledged that talks are in the early stages. NTL could offer its broadband network to the partnership while AOL would supply content. NTL was up 6.2%.
