On Tap Today: Employment Report Released; Greenspan Speaks on Education

Yesterday's market was highlighted by an impressive rally in which the Dow soared over 400 points, while the Comp gained nearly 150 points. Today, the market gets set to absorb the release of the Labor Department's employment report .

The data -- which includes nonfarm payrolls, the unemployment rate, the average workweek and average hourly earnings -- are considered the best measure of the overall health of the economy and will set the tone for other indicators that will be released this month. Look for it to weigh in heavily on today's trading session.

In IPO news, SureBeam (SURE) a maker of electronic food pasteurization systems, comes out of its quiet period today.

Shares of the San Diego-based startup traded up 8.7% to $9.38 yesterday.
