Comair Cancels a Week of Flights

Comair, a regional carrier owned by Delta (DAL Quote), is canceling all flights through the morning of April 5 because of a strike by its pilots.

If no agreement is reached by that date, Comair, which serves roughly 8 million passengers annually, will cancel all flights with a seven-day advance notice until it reaches an accord with the pilots' union. Comair's main hub is the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Delta and Comair said they are trying to provide affected customers with alternate transportation on Delta flights or other airlines.

Shares of Delta, which is based in Atlanta, fell $1.11, or 2.8%, to $39.22 in recent New York Stock Exchange trading.
