Stilwell Assets Under Management in February Down From January

Stilwell Financial(SV Quote), which operates Janus Capital, said its assets under management on Feb. 28 totaled about $232 billion.

The Kansas City, Mo., company said average assets under management in the first two months of the calendar year totaled about $261 billion, while assets under management as of Jan. 31, came to $276 billion.

In addition to Janus, Stilwell runs Berger LLC and Nelson Money Managers. The company also owns a 33% stake in DST Systems (DST Quote).

Shares of Stilwell fell $1.35, or 4.2%, to $30.55 in recent trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
