February PMI Data Comes in Slightly Ahead of Expectations

The National Association of Purchasing Management's Purchasing Managers' Index in February rose slightly from January, and also came in just above the consensus forecast.

The Purchasing Managers' Index for the month stood at 41.9, up from 41.2 in January. Economists expected a reading of 41.5.

A reading below 50 signals economic contraction, while a number above 50 indicates expansion.
