This form will most likely print out regardless of whether you will owe the alternative minimum tax in 2000 or not. Your tax prep program generally will walk through the calculation just to be safe, so don't panic. AMT is a headache, and if you exercised incentive stock options in 2000, odds are good it will be your headache. That's why it is really important that you carefully answer the questions in your tax prep program's interview on this subject.
