Mentor Graphics(MENT Quote - Cramer on MENT - Stock Picks) said Wednesday that it beat Wall Street's earnings expectations for the fourth quarter.
The hardware and software company said it earned 43 cents in the quarter, excluding a charge of 8 cents share. Nine analysts polled by
First Call/Thomson Financial were expecting the company to earn 39 cents for the quarter. Mentor earned 28 cents in the year-ago period.
Revenue increased to $182 million from $155 million in the same period last year.
Shares of Mentor, which is based in Wilsonville, Ore., fell 88 cents, or 3%, to $28.25 in regular session
Nasdaq trading, but rose to $29 in recent after-hours
Island trading.
