First American Property and Casualty Insurance Group named James J. Court president of the company, effective June 23, 2014. Court is based in the company’s office at 4 First American Way, Santa Ana, Calif. 92707.

Court had served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of First American Property and Casualty Insurance Group since 2007 and has been with the company since 1999. He has been closely involved in the development and execution of the company’s operational strategy and information technology initiatives.
Before joining First American Property and Casualty Insurance Group, Court held operations and information technology leadership positions with Printronix, Inc. and MGE UPS Systems, where he led successful business and technology transformations.
Court earned a bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the University of Redlands and his Master of Business Administration degree from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
Dirk McNamee will assume the role of vice chairman of First American Property and Casualty Insurance Group. In creating this new role, the organization will continue to benefit from his risk management expertise and industry knowledge.
