Hershey (HSY Quote - Cramer on HSY - Stock Picks) reported earnings of 84 cents a share for the fourth quarter, beating Wall Street estimates by two cents.
Net earnings in fourth quarter rose to $116 million, up from $98 million, or 70 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
The chocolate maker posted revenue of $1.2 billion in the fourth quarter, up from $1.1 billion in the year-ago period.
The consensus estimate from 15 analysts polled by
First Call/Thomson Financial was 82 cents a share.
In afternoon trading on the
New York Stock Exchange, Hershey gained 23 cents, or 0.4%, to $59.54.
