NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Twitter (TWTR - Get Report) is upgrading its direct messaging feature to allow users to send and receive messages as if they're using a chat application like WhatsApp, making it easier to communicate privately as the 140 character restriction will be removed.
The company said the new feature will also make it easier to access one's private history and delete old messages.
Twitter stock is up 2.75% to $38.07 today.
