Copart, Inc., a global online vehicle auction company, has selected finalists for its first-ever Copart Rebuild Challenge, a contest designed for car enthusiasts and auto rebuilders to show how they restored, customized or rebuilt a vehicle.
Between April 14 and July 6, 2014, contestants entered the Copart Rebuild Challenge by submitting a brief video highlighting their rebuild process from start to finish. Entrants ranged from car enthusiasts to professional rebuilders. After the entry period ended on July 6, 2014, an expert panel of Copart judges selected 10 finalists from a competitive group of creative and inspiring rebuild projects.
“We had an overwhelming response to the Copart Rebuild Challenge,” said Copart Chief Marketing Officer, Matt Burgener. “Our members fixed up everything from luxury cars to boats and motorcycles. It was wonderful to see how talented our customers truly are. We are excited to get the public involved to vote for their favorite video and ultimately select the winner of our inaugural Copart Rebuild Challenge.”
From now through July 25, the public can vote once per day for their favorite videos to determine the top three winners. Winners will be announced by early August. The grand prize is $10,000, followed by a second prize of $2,000 and a third prize of one year of Copart Premier Membership.
“Copart’s online platform makes it possible for buyers all over the world to find and purchase vehicles they need, whether it’s for their business or for a fun project,” said Burgener. “This contest gave us a behind-the-scenes look at what some of our members are doing with their vehicles.”
