Jones Soda Co. (OTCQB:JSDA), a leading premium beverage company known for its unique flavors and customer-designed packaging, today announced the second annual Made in Michigan program for its 2014 summer selling season. All Jones Soda beverages to be sold in the State of Michigan during the upcoming summer season will not only have Michigan-themed photos, but also will have been bottled in the city of Detroit, through longstanding distributor partner Intrastate Distributing.
Honoring Jones Soda’s longstanding ties to the people of Michigan, this year we decided to put a call out to all of the Michiganders who work at our distributor partners in the State of Michigan for their own special Michigan-themed photos. We are proud to partner with a strong network of distributors, each of who have been critical in the launch, development and building of the Jones Soda brand in Michigan. Our partners include all of the great people at Intrastate Distributing, Imperial Beverage, Alliance Beverage, Griffin Beverage, Canada Dry Bottling Co. of Lansing, Pisani Co. and Earl Smith Distributing.
Over the many years of selling our sodas in Michigan, we have developed a mutual respect and partnership with each of these distributors and we wanted to have strong involvement from the teams of each of these partners for the 2014 summer season. With the launch of this program, we are selling our unique Michigan created and themed Jones bottles through all independent and select chain retailers in the State of Michigan.
“Last year we created this unique program to honor our Michigan fans and partners and as a way to bring back the excitement of our brand to a state that is such an incredible market for Jones. We did not want this to be a one-off program, but to continue to build upon what we created in 2013. Following our 2013 program, the fans of Real Detroit Magazine in February 2014 voted Jones Soda as their number one soda and we are very proud of this honor. We will continue to support and build our brand in the great State of Michigan throughout the coming years with continued programs like Made in Michigan,” said Jennifer Cue, CEO.
