NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Adeptus Health (ADPT) surged Wednesday, the company's first day of trading after its IPO.
The company, which operates free-standing emergency rooms, priced its initial public offering of 4.9 million shares at $22 a share, the high end of its $19 to $22 range. Adeptus raised $93 million in the offering.
The stock opened at $25.16 and rose to a high of $26.75 for the day. More than 5.6 million shares changed hands.
