Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. (NYSE:HOT) announced today the opening of Sheraton Reserva do Paiva Hotel and Convention Center, near Brazil’s northeast region of Recife. Sheraton Reserva do Paiva was developed by the Portuguese group Promovalor and Brazilian group Odebrecht Realizações Imobiliárias under a long-term management contract with Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. It is the first international upper-upscale hotel in Reserva do Paiva, which is located approximately 30 minutes from Recife.
Sheraton Reserva do Paiva Hotel is one block away from one of the most beautiful stretches of beaches in Northeastern Brazil. Featuring 298 rooms, including 18 Club Suites and one of the largest Presidential Suites in the region with 1,300 square feet, all rooms boast the brand’s signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper® Bed. The hotel features a 6,500 square-foot Sheraton Shine Spa, the brand’s signature Sheraton Fitness gym with more than 1,300 square feet of work-out space, an exclusive Sheraton Club Lounge on the top floor with beautiful ocean views and two restaurants. Sheraton Reserva do Paiva will also feature a Beach Club designed for guests who wish to spend the day at the hotel. The Beach Club will include a spacious lounge area, with cabanas where visitors can relax and soak in the sun, a large swimming pool with stunning views, and beach access. Guests visiting the Beach Club can also enjoy its restaurants and pool-side food and service.
