Medtronic (MDT - Get Report) was upgraded at RBC Capital to outperform from sector perform. Twelve-month price target is $73. Covidien (COV) deal makes both financial and strategic sense, RBC Capital said.(PEG) was upgraded at Jefferies to buy from hold. Driven by improving commodity outlook for forward power prices, Jefferies said. Twelve-month price target is $44. Potash (POT) was downgraded to hold at TheStreet Ratings. Southwest Airlines (LUV - Get Report) was upgraded at Stifel Nicolaus to buy from hold. Twelve-month price target is $30. Recent industry pullback has created a buying opportunity, Stifel Nicolaus said. (TAX) was upgraded to buy at TheStreet Ratings.
