Baby Hope murder investigation
. It's his third Press Club award since joining DNAinfo.com four years ago.
Weiss was the first to report that the NYPD had cracked the "
" murder case, which had been unsolved since 1991 when an unidentified 4-year-old girl was found dead in a cooler in
, by identifying the child's mother. He also
broke the story
when the prime suspect, the girl's cousin, was arrested.
His coverage not only chronicled how police finally solved the 22-year-old murder, but also the emotional aspects of the case, from the toll it took on the detective who first tried to solve it to the joy of police and residents when
