(UFI: NYSE), the makers of REPREVE®, announced a super powered alliance in support of one of the most ambitious live event experiences in history – Marvel Universe LIVE! This agreement will bring REPREVE on board as a sponsor of the 85-city tour, which will debut in July in Tampa, FL before embarking on an extensive national rollout.
REPREVE, manufactured by North Carolina-based Unifi, is fiber made from recycled materials, including plastic bottles and other materials. REPREVE can be found in many brands including Haggar, Ford, Swiftwick, Patagonia, Quiksilver and The North Face. Through this sponsorship, the brand will engage audiences, educating them that they don't have to be a Super Hero to save the world; they can do it through recycling water bottles. Marvel Universe LIVE! will join the REPREVE brand's #TurnItGreen initiative designed to encourage recycling and promote its importance. REPREVE products, branding and messaging will be integrated into the tour through onsite materials, recycling bins and apparel worn by the cast and crew.
While visiting a Marvel Universe LIVE! performance, Marvel fans can learn more about REPREVE through messaging found around the recycling bins on the concourse. During the Marvel Universe LIVE! World Premiere event in New York, and a handful of other cities throughout the tour, the REPREVE brand will have onsite activations designed to educate, engage and encourage guests to #TurnItGreen.
