AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that Wade McDaniel, vice president of solutions architecture, Avnet Velocity, will present during a workshop titled, “Conquering the Basics of Supply Chain Segmentation,” at the
Gartner Supply Chain Executive Conference. The conference will be held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, May 20-22, 2014. McDaniel’s session will take place at 1:45 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, May 20.
During the workshop, participants will learn about
Gartner’s step-by-step framework for implementing supply chain segmentation. McDaniel will share examples of segmentation strategies. The session will also highlight the skills and tools required to manage a segmentation strategy.
“Segmentation is a unique approach to support the supply chain as customer needs continue to diversify,” said McDaniel. “End-to-end supply chain segmentation drives growth and improves the customer experience. During this workshop, I will focus on the strategies for implementing supply chain segmentation to enhance customer success.”
McDaniel leads the Avnet Velocity team’s efforts in designing and implementing supply chain solutions for Avnet and its customers. His expertise includes supply chain engineering, supply chain finance, warehouse management and worldwide transportation logistics. He has more than 25 years of supply chain experience in the high-tech industry. In 2008, McDaniel was named to
Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Pros to Know list.
