How to Trade Disney, First Solar, Groupon and 5 Others Reporting Earnings

Groupon (GRPN) ($6.89), down 41.5% year-to-date. Analysts expect the discount-shopping website to report an EPS loss of 7 cents after the closing bell today. The stock traded as low as $6.70 on April 15, and has been below its 200-day SMA now at $9.76 since Feb. 21.

The weekly chart is negative but oversold with its five-week MMA at $7.60. This week's value level is $6.53 with a monthly risky level at $8.01.

Marathon Oil (MRO) ($36.45), up 3.3% year-to-date. Analysts expect the oil and gas company to report EPS of 72 cents after the closing bell today. The stock set its 2014 intraday high at $36.99 on April 29.

The weekly chart is positive but overbought with its five-week MMA at $35.65. Monthly and quarterly value levels are $35.70 and $33.93 with a weekly pivot at $36.70 and semiannual risky levels at $38.00 and $38.18.

Papa John's (PZZA) ($44.45), down 2.1% year-to-date. Analysts expect pizza company to report EPS of 45 cents after the closing bell today. The stock set an all-time parabolic intraday high at $55 on March 21, and traded as low as $43.69 on May 1.

The weekly chart is negative with its five-week MMA at $47.30. Semiannual value levels are $40.43 and $32.33 with an annual pivot at $44.44 and quarterly and monthly risky levels at $55.05 and $57.90.

Radian Group (RDN) ($14.30), up 1.3% year-to-date. Analysts expect the provider of private mortgage insurance to report EPS of 20 cents after the closing bell today. The stock set its 2014 intraday high at $16.24 on March 5,  and traded as low as $13.39 on April 14, staying below its 200-day SMA at $14.32.

The weekly chart is negative with its five-week MMA at $14.42. Weekly and semiannual value levels are $13.15 and $11.58 with monthly and quarterly risky levels at $15.41 and $16.58.

Whole Foods Market (WFM) ($48.28), down 16.5% year-to-date. Analysts expect the upper-end grocery chain to report EPS of 41 cents after the closing bell today. The stock set an all-time parabolic intraday high at $65.59 on Oct. 28, and traded as low as $47.70 on April 16.

The weekly chart is negative but oversold with its five-week MMA at $50.43. A weekly pivot is $48.29 with monthly and quarterly risky levels at $56.69 and $58.99.
