HUDSON, N.H., May 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its ongoing commitment to provide an outstanding customer experience, Comcast Cable today announced plans to open a new state-of-the-art customer support center this summer in Hudson, New Hampshire.
The state-of-the-art facility has the capacity to seat approximately 600 agents. Comcast expects about a third of the seats – or 200 positions – to be filled by year end, including almost 100 new positions. With the new positions, Comcast will have more than 1,700 employees across the state, and more than 5,000 across its Greater Boston footprint.
Today's announcement underscores Comcast's continued investments in New Hampshire. In 2012, Comcast's total employee investment, including payroll, payroll taxes, benefits, healthcare, training and tuition reimbursement, totaled almost $170 million. Comcast also contributed more than $1.5 million in community investment across the state."Today's announcement that Comcast is a bringing a facility to Hudson that will create 100 new jobs by the end of the year represents why New Hampshire is as well positioned as any state to lead the country in innovative economic growth," Governor Maggie Hassan said. Employees at the new call center will provide support for Comcast residential products and services, initially handling calls from across the Greater Boston Region, which serves 1.6 million customers in New Hampshire, Maine, Eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands. "This new facility represents our latest investment in the tools, technologies and people that will help improve our customers' experiences with us,'' said Steve Hackley, Senior Vice President of Comcast's Greater Boston Region. "When our customers reach this call center, they will be connected with agents who are best equipped to help with their specific needs." The 127,000 square-foot, 600-seat facility is located at 55 Executive Drive. When renovations are complete, this state-of-the-art facility will also have best-in-class industry technologies for servicing customers, a full service cafeteria and a fitness center.
