Visa ( V) pushed the Diversified Services industry lower today making it today's featured Diversified Services laggard. The industry as a whole was unchanged today. By the end of trading, Visa fell $2.35 (-1.1%) to $218.40 on average volume. Throughout the day, 2,906,474 shares of Visa exchanged hands as compared to its average daily volume of 3,108,000 shares. The stock ranged in price between $218.40-$223.04 after having opened the day at $222.19 as compared to the previous trading day's close of $220.75. Other companies within the Diversified Services industry that declined today were: Corporate Resource Services ( CRRS), down 5.7%, WageWorks ( WAGE), down 5.6%, China Yida ( CNYD), down 4.9% and Envestnet ( ENV), down 4.5%.

Visa Inc., a payments technology company, operates as a retail electronic payments network worldwide. The company facilitates commerce through the transfer of value and information among financial institutions, merchants, consumers, businesses, and government entities. Visa has a market cap of $112.6 billion and is part of the financial sector. Shares are down 0.9% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday. Currently there are 18 analysts that rate Visa a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and 7 rate it a hold.

TheStreet Ratings rates Visa as a buy. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, growth in earnings per share, expanding profit margins and good cash flow from operations. Although no company is perfect, currently we do not see any significant weaknesses which are likely to detract from the generally positive outlook.

On the positive front, General Employment ( JOB), up 7.9%, Hudson Global ( HSON), up 6.8%, UniTek Global Services ( UNTK), up 6.4% and National Research Corporation ( NRCIA), up 6.0% , were all gainers within the diversified services industry with New Oriental Education & Technology Group I ( EDU) being today's featured diversified services industry leader.

For investors not wanting singular stock exposure, ETFs may be of interest. Investors who are bullish on the diversified services industry could consider iShares Dow Jones US Cons Services ( IYC) while those bearish on the diversified services industry could consider ProShares Ultra Short Consumer Sers ( SCC).
