Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. (NYSE: APAM) (the “Company”) announced today the commencement of an underwritten public offering of 7,000,000 shares of its Class A common stock. The Company will grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,050,000 shares.
The Company intends to use all of the net proceeds of this offering to purchase shares of the Company’s convertible preferred stock and common and preferred units of the Company’s subsidiary, Artisan Partners Holdings LP. The selling holders include directors, officers and employees of the Company and its subsidiaries.
Citigroup; Goldman, Sachs & Co. and BofA Merrill Lynch are acting as joint bookrunners for the offering.
