Apple(AAPL - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) will release the much-touted OS X operating system on March 24 and bundle the software with computers starting in July, according to published reports. The Cupertino, Calif., PC maker also said 350 software developers have pledged to work with the company to develop applications tailored to the OS X. Hundreds of those applications are reportedly due for release this spring, while most of the releases are set for the summer. Shares of Apple recently gained 38 cents, or 2.3%, to $17 in midday trading on the Nasdaq.
