Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announces with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Columbia Pictures that any Regal Crown Club member who purchases a ticket to “RoboCop” is entered for a chance to win their very own drone aircraft. The high-tech drone also comes with a camera, batteries, storage/shipping case and a Sony tablet. “RoboCop” opens in theatres nationwide on February 12.
“Just as OmniCorp maintains its role as the center of robot and drone technology in the year 2028 in the film ‘RoboCop,’ Regal wanted to provide its most loyal fans a chance to win an innovative and cutting-edge drone of their very own,” said Ken Thewes, chief marketing officer for Regal Entertainment Group. “Fans of this film are sure to enjoy this one-of-a-kind prize.”
Regal Crown Club members can win their very own drone aircraft by swiping their card when purchasing tickets to “RoboCop” through February 27. The unmanned autonomous vehicle has a wingspan of over three feet. It is designed and built by Lehmann Aviation and is capable of flight for up to 3 km on a single battery charge. No piloting background is necessary as the user needs to only connect the battery and set up their flight plan on the provided Sony tablet. The drone receives the flight plan directly across Wi-Fi, and all that’s left is to hand-launch the aircraft and wait for its return flight. While the aircraft only weighs about two pounds, it is very rugged. It’s constructed of foam and carbon fiber and can operate in diverse climate conditions: from -13 degrees to 140 degrees and in wind speeds of up to 20 mph. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. For further information including complete rules, visit: REGmovies.com/Crown-Club/Sweepstakes
