Sterling Bank, the principal operating subsidiary of Sterling Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:STSA), announced today that it has added an iPad app to its robust suite of business mobile banking solutions. The Sterling Biz Mobile for iPad app is designed specifically for business banking customers.
“We are excited to add the iPad app to the recently launched suite of business mobile banking solutions,” said Patricia Baughman, SVP and product management and market research executive at Sterling Bank. “In the last two years, Sterling has made significant investments in our digitally delivered treasury management solutions. The iPad app – along with our entire Biz Mobile suite – makes a compelling offering for business customers who want meaningful financial tools conveniently located on their tablet or smartphone.”
Sterling Biz Mobile for iPad provides business customers with the ability to access information and manage their assets from their Apple tablets, including:
- View account balances and transactions
- Search for specific transactions
- Transfer funds between accounts with Sterling
- Pay vendors and other Bill Pay payees
- View and cancel scheduled bill payments
- Search for nearby Sterling branches and ATMs
- Deposit checks using image capture Mobile Deposit
Sterling Biz Mobile for iPad is available for free download through the Apple App Store. Sterling Biz Mobile with Mobile Deposit is available at no charge to existing customers enrolled in Sterling’s Business Online Banking solution. Using the camera on an iPad, customers can make deposits simply by taking a picture of the front and back of an endorsed check, entering the check amount and selecting the deposit account. On-screen confirmations and email notifications communicate the status of the deposit. The iPad app has improved usability over the smartphone apps in that it can be used in both landscape or portrait positions and it brings more information forward to the dashboard landing page. When the service detects an unrecognized device, multifactor authentication works to further verify the identity of customers before accessing account information.
