How to Gain Financial Freedom: Stop Dreaming, Start Doing, Part 1

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Some dreams are close enough to nag, but remain distant enough to be forgotten or deferred. And when they come, dreams often travel with big sloppy bags of fear.

People like the transcendental Ashley M. Fox -- who reach major goals at an early age -- give hope that any dream is doable.

Fox is a financial coach who's 25 years young.

This Howard University graduate prefers to be called a coach rather than a financial advisor "because an advisor tells you what to do, but a coach helps you do it."

She has the nerve to hold a Series 63, Series 7, as well as real estate and life insurance & annuities licenses -- and that was the easy part. The hard part came a few months ago, when Fox quit her lucrative job at JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and started Empify -- a combination of the words empower and modify.

Three Simple Goals of Empify

  • To grow you into the person you want to become.
  • Empower you from within.
  • Teach modification through empowerment.

Fox says she started her own business, because she wanted to live in the same world that she was helping the top 5% create for themselves. She also wanted to help people. Now she travels throughout the states, helping clients feel empowered and making them aware of their financial options.

For Fox, now there is no glass ceiling, rewards have been plentiful -- and so has the work.

In the midst of building her headquarters in Philadelphia, Fox took time out of her packed schedule to chat with TheStreet. Check out the videos (look above for part 1 and click here for part 2) to see how Fox is introducing people to their own wealth.

The Empify Web site will be up and running during the end of the second quarter.
