2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Named Cars.com Family Car Of The Year

DETROIT, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cars.com, the premier online resource for buying and selling new and used cars, announced tonight at its annual "Best of" award show that the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is the winner of the site's Family Car of the Year award.

"The redesigned Santa Fe Sport's interior flexibility and available convenience and safety features, such as side window shades and blind spot monitors, make it a natural choice for families," said Kristin Varela, Cars.com's Chief Mom. "A few of our experts even called the Santa Fe Sport 'fun to drive,' which is a rarity for a family car where driving fun isn't often a priority for auto makers."

Nominees for the 2014 Family Car of the Year were the Buick Enclave, Honda Odyssey and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.

"Families come in all shapes and sizes and so do our favorite family cars of 2014," said Varela. "Each nominee offers unique features and qualities that are perfect for any family, and while the Santa Fe Sport is our top pick, each nominee would make a great option for families in the market for a new car."

For larger families, Hyundai also offers the Santa Fe which adds an additional row of seating and was a nominee for Cars.com's "Best of 2014" award.
