Specifically, the Company's work on the E Series engine was a significant contributor and the impetus behind Walmart's recognition.

Although what was called the 450/500/550 Series was the best-selling engine in Briggs & Stratton's history, the Company realized that it was time to design and introduce a new engine - the E Series - that would be made with less materials and would run more efficiently with lower emissions. The E Series™ would become the successor to the 450/500/550 Series.
