Rite Aid Makes Last-Minute Shopping Easy With Gifts Galore And Extended Store Hours

Stocks in this article: RAD

According to the National Retail Federation, 32 million Americans have yet to start their holiday shopping. With only a few shopping days left, Rite Aid offers hope and help to last-minute Santas, with a wide assortment of gifts for everyone on their lists. Rite Aid stores nationwide will feature extended hours through Dec. 23 and very last-minute shoppers can visit www.riteaid.com to find the nearest Rite Aid open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, including some 24-hour stores, perfect for any last-minute gifts or needs such as batteries, tree trimmings, wrapping paper and milk.

"Whether you’ve just begun to shop or are at the end of your list, Rite Aid has a range of gifts that are perfect for your gift-giving needs," said Tony Montini, Rite Aid executive vice president of merchandising. "And with our nearly 4,600 locations nationwide operating under extended hours, people can quickly and easily cross names off their list and feel good about their giving.”

Rite Aid comes to the rescue of last-minute Santas with thoughtful gifts for family, friends, co-workers and everyone in between, offering options and value in popular gift categories including:

Candy and Chocolate: It’s sweet to give and receive. For the sweet tooth on your list, Rite Aid has all the latest confectionary creations from Hershey, Dove, Ghirardelli, Lindt, Godiva and Russell Stover. Shelves are stocked with assorted boxed chocolates, premium chocolates, sweet stocking stuffers and last-minute candy dish fillers.

Toys: Rite Aid has an assortment of great toys at great prices for the kids on your list. Pick up classics from beloved brands like Hot Wheels, Barbie, and Play-Doh, or check out Rite Aid’s private line of toys, Kids Stuff. The line includes favorites for girls and boys like dolls, remote control cars, scooters and plush penguins, hippos and puppy dogs. There’s also an assortment of board and card games, craft and activity books and puzzles, perfect stuffers for any stocking.

Bath and Beauty: Give the gift of relaxation by creating a one-of-a-kind, personalized spa basket. Start with any Homedics at home spa solutions like the foot massager, the paraffin bath basin or the Shiatsu massage pillow. Add a hairstyling appliance from Conair, Revlon or Vidal Sassoon and a fragrance set from Calvin Klein, Taylor Swift or Nautica. Finish the basket bath and body accessories, makeup tools, Sally Hansen’s Dare to Dazzle Nail Care kit and a pair of fuzzy slippers.

Gizmos and Gadgets: Steer clear of the mall and crowded parking lots and head to Rite Aid for all the latest electronics. MP3 players, digital cameras, netbooks, tablets, gaming consoles and accessories like headphones, chargers and memory cards are all available, as are many small home appliances like crockpots, toasters and irons.

Gift cards: Perfect for foodies, gamers, clothes-lovers, bookworms and the person on your list leaving you stumped. Choose among several popular brands including Longhorn Steakhouse, Google Play, Cabela’s and Sports Authority, all new to Rite Aid this year, as well as tried and true favorites like Starbucks, Macy’s, Barnes & Noble and Best Buy.

Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) is one of the nation's leading drugstore chains with nearly 4,600 stores in 31 states and the District of Columbia and fiscal 2013 annual revenues of $25.4 billion.
