Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Bob Rowe, executive vice president of Huron Legal, has been named to The National Law Journal’s inaugural list of Legal Business Trailblazers & Pioneers.
“As the legal market has undergone rapid and profound change in recent years, Bob has been instrumental in the growth of innovative and creative solutions to meet the needs of our law department and law firm clients,” said Jim Roth, chief executive officer and president, Huron Consulting Group. “Bob played a key role in the development and management of our U.S. and global e-discovery operations as well as our Integrated Analytics e-discovery offering. This recognition is a testament to the innovative advancements that Huron Legal is developing under Bob’s leadership during a time where technology is playing an increasingly critical role in the sector.”
Rowe is included in the ‘Technologists’ category, specifically for his work in electronic discovery and with online review platforms. Under Rowe’s leadership, Huron Legal introduced a metrics-driven managed review offering coupled with a pricing model that departed from the billable hour and used per-unit pricing.
“I am deeply honored to be named to this list of industry influencers who are truly transforming the legal industry,” said Rowe. “Technology will continue to set the pace for advancements in law departments and law firms, and I look forward to working closely with our clients to help them achieve even greater efficiencies and cost savings.”Rowe has more than 20 years of experience specializing in delivering comprehensive solutions and project management for legal matters, including electronic discovery. As practice leader, Rowe oversees Huron Legal’s advisory and business services provided to Fortune 500 corporations and law firms. Prior to joining Huron, Rowe was president and CEO of Nextra Litigation Solutions LLC, a company providing document review solutions for legal matters that Huron acquired in 2006. During his career, Rowe spent ten years practicing antitrust law in Washington, D.C. with AmLaw 100 firms and clerked for the Honorable Cornelia G. Kennedy of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was a member of Order of the Coif and managing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he served overseas in the United States Army as a Captain in Military Intelligence.
