Dallas' Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank Names Three New Partners

DALLAS, Dec. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dallas litigation firm of Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank LLP has named former associates Jonathan R. Childers, Trey H. Crawford and Michael J. Lang as partners.

"During the past several years each of these young men has demonstrated the skills in litigation, teamwork and service that are essential to the success of our clients and our firm," says form co-founder G. Michael Gruber. "They have been key members of trial teams that have received multi-million dollar jury verdicts for plaintiff companies and take-nothing verdicts for defendants. We are very pleased to recognize their talents and importance to the future of our practice."

Mr. Childers maintains an active business trial and litigation practice, regularly representing clients from the financial services, energy, commercial real estate and health care industries in state and federal courts. He currently serves as vice-president of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, a member of the Southern Methodist University Alumni Board, and on the Board of Management of the T. Boone Pickens YMCA. Mr. Childers earned his law degree from SMU's Dedman School of Law in 2005, and earned his undergraduate degree, with honors, from SMU in 2002.

Mr. Crawford has extensive litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in handling a variety of aviation, energy, real estate, construction, banking and securities matters. These complex business lawsuits have involved breach of contract, securities fraud, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud claims. Mr. Crawford received his law degree with honors from SMU's Dedman School of Law in 2007, and earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University, with honors, in 2002.

Mr. Lang represents plaintiffs and defendants from the banking, manufacturing, energy, real estate and technology industries in state and federal courts. Mr. Lang has litigated and arbitrated complex business disputes involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, breach of contract, and patent infringement, among other areas. Mr. Lang earned his law degree from SMU's Dedman School of Law in 2002 after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas in 1999.

Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank LLP focuses on the business needs of its clients in trying complex commercial litigation in courtrooms across Texas. The firm's experience includes matters involving securities, financial services, bankruptcy, employment, intellectual property, technology, products liability and other commercial cases. Clients include leading companies – large and small – and individuals in the fields of private equity, real estate, manufacturing, professional services, energy and retail.
