Survey: Gamers Find Bliss With Fastest Internet and Newest Consoles
New gaming consoles such as the Xbox One are highly sought after. For example, one-third of gamers would give up their car for six months to be first to get a new gaming system, according to the latest edition of the
FiOS Innovation Index
. The survey reached more than 900 people throughout the country for their views on technology, gaming and the connected home. Nearly
of the respondents said they want to watch streaming video on their game console.
The FiOS Innovation Index also found that 85 percent of consumers considered their home Internet the
most important service in their
residence – a 33 percent increase over the consumers in this category in last year's index.
For the eighth consecutive year, Verizon FiOS customers rated their Internet service tops, with FiOS again receiving the PCMag.com annual Reader's Choice Award. Not only did FiOS Internet earn the highest overall satisfaction rating in the well-regarded magazine's annual survey of its readership, but it secured the highest ratings in many other key categories, including speed, reliability and satisfaction with tech support. FiOS customers can choose to enjoy the Internet at speeds many times higher than the national average.
