HOUSTON, TEXAS, Dec. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Halcón Resources Corporation (NYSE: HK) ("Halcón" or the "Company") today announced that, subject to market conditions, it intends to offer an additional $400 million in aggregate principal amount of its 9.75% senior unsecured notes due 2020 (the "additional senior notes"). The additional senior notes are being offered as additional notes to the $750 million aggregate principal amount of 9.75% senior notes due 2020 that the Company sold in a private placement that settled on July 16, 2012. The additional senior notes and the existing notes will be treated as a single class of debt securities and will have identical terms, other than the issue date and issue price, except that the additional senior notes will initially be subject to restrictions on transfer under applicable securities laws.
Halcón intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to repay a portion of the outstanding borrowings under its senior secured revolving credit facility.
