Dec. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has honored 32 suppliers for their outstanding performance in support of its Socio-Economic Business Programs (SEBP).
This is the 23
rd year that Northrop Grumman has recognized its suppliers with World Class Team awards for supporting the SEBP program, which strives to ensure that capable small businesses including small disadvantaged, woman-owned, veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned, historically underutilized business zones, AbilityOne organizations, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender concerns and Historically Black Colleges/Universities and Minority Institutions, receive the maximum practicable subcontracting opportunities on all major programs.
The extensive review of suppliers began last summer with awards given to companies demonstrating exceptional support and commitment to the SEBP goals and objectives using criteria such as product, service, quality and record. Other considerations included demonstrated delivery performance, outstanding program support, superior technical achievement, and reported cost performance/competitiveness and/or continuous process improvement.
