Antec to Miss Fourth-Quarter Views, Cites AT&T Order Delay
Antec(ANTC Quote) said fourth-quarter results will come in below Wall Street's expectations, citing the decision by AT&T's (T Quote) broadband unit last month to suspend some of its telecom equipment orders.
Antec, which is based in Duluth, Ga., said it expects a fourth-quarter loss of 9 cents to 13 cents a share on revenue of $180 million to $190 million. Analysts expect the company to earn 14 cents a share for the quarter, according to First Call/Thomson Financial. Separately, the company said its planned acquisition of Nortel's (NT Quote) stake in Arris Interactive will be delayed and will require new financing arrangements. Shares of Antec were recently trading down 69 cents, or 7.9%, to $8.06 in Nasdaq trading.- Loading Comments...
