OTTAWA, Dec. 11, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Building on its contact center momentum and further expanding its sales executive bench, Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), has appointed Chuck Krogman as U.S. vice president of sales for contact center. Reporting into executive vice president of sales for the Americas Joe Vitalone, Krogman is positioned to further grow Mitel's contact center business.

Contact center is a strategic area of investment and growth for Mitel along with cloud solutions. Announced earlier this year, the MiCloud sales team has focuses on creating and enabling cloud opportunities that have led to a steady increase in cloud sales for Mitel. Following that same strategy, the Contact Center sales team is already showing results.

Krogman joins Mitel after more than 13 years in sales for ShoreTel, where he most recently led the vertical markets team. He brings to the position a deep understanding of the industry combined with contact center and cloud expertise. His contact center sales team are both leading and enabling new opportunities, working closely with the Mitel channel.
