HOUSTON, Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwestern Energy Company (NYSE: SWN) today announced that Mr. Jeffrey B. Sherrick has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Corporate Development from his previous role of Senior Vice President, Corporate Development.
Mr. Sherrick joined Southwestern Energy in October 2008 and is responsible for corporate capital planning, technology, reserves and business development. Prior to joining the company, he served in multiple operational and managerial roles at The Houston Exploration Company, El Paso Production Company, Enron Global Exploration and Production Inc., Enron Oil and Gas Company, and Tenneco Oil Company. Mr. Sherrick is a graduate of Marietta College with a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering. He is also a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Texas Independent Property and Royalty Owners Association, and Houston Producers Forum.
