Chamber of Commerce presented Nucor Executive Chairman
with its prestigious Citizen of the Carolinas Award at its annual meeting on December 3rd. DiMicco received the award for his leadership within the steel industry and for his significant contributions to manufacturing in the region and nationwide.
In his acceptance remarks, DiMicco noted that his success was the result of all his Nucor teammates lifting him up on their shoulders. He also spoke about the importance of leadership in dealing with crises in business and in government and urged our political leaders to pull people together to deal with today's most pressing crisis – getting people back to work.
"I am honored to receive this award from the

Chamber of Commerce has presented the Citizen of the Carolinas Award since 1990. It is the highest award the Chamber gives to an individual. DiMicco joins a list of distinguished past winners that include the Rev.
