SAN MATEO, Calif., Nov. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced the appointment of Gerard Paul-Clark as Vice President and Representative Director at NetSuite K.K, where he is responsible for driving overall business operations for NetSuite and extending NetSuite's leadership in cloud ERP in the region.

Paul-Clark moved to Japan almost 20 years ago and has been in the region ever since, working in senior leadership roles for ERP, Business Intelligence and data center solutions companies. He most recently served as the Country Manager for Raritan Japan and before that was Vice President of Sales and Business Operations for Software AG in Tokyo. Paul-Clark has also held leadership roles at Geac Computer Corporation, Ltd, Comshare Inc. Asia-Pacific, and Sony Broadcast UK. He holds a bachelor's degree from Downing College in Cambridge, England and is fluent in Japanese and Korean.

"We are excited to have Gerard join the NetSuite team to expand our investments in Japan and support our growth," said Mark Troselj, Managing Director of APAC and Japan at NetSuite. "His solid track record of success and operational experience will help NetSuite address the huge international market opportunity for cloud solutions."

"I look forward to continuing NetSuite's strong growth in Japan and helping Japanese companies take advantage of the power, agility and flexibility of cloud ERP," said Paul-Clark. "NetSuite's industry leadership and global capabilities make it the solution of choice for modern companies quickly outgrowing the limitations of antiquated on-premise software."

NetSuite has a strong footprint in the Japanese market. The company's successes in Japan include a growing list of customers such as Peach Aviation Limited, and the launch of NetSuite Release J, the first available Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite for the Japanese market. Support for J-GAAP-compliant reporting, extensive Consumption Tax support, and full localization make NetSuite ideal for native companies as well as multinational organizations. The ERP functionality, combined with the full breadth of NetSuite's SaaS customer relationship management (CRM) and Ecommerce capabilities, make it possible for Japanese companies to run the core aspects of their business completely in the cloud.

Today, more than 16,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission-critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise-class cloud financials/ERP suites for divisions of large enterprises and mid-sized organizations seeking to upgrade their antiquated client/server ERP systems. NetSuite excels at streamlining business operations as demonstrated in a recent Gartner study naming NetSuite as the fastest growing financial management software vendor on a global basis. NetSuite continues its success in delivering the best cloud ERP/financials suites to businesses around the world, enabling them to lower IT costs significantly while increasing productivity, as the global adoption of the cloud is accelerating.
