Toledo Edison Makes Free Water And Ice Available To Customers Without Power

TOLEDO, Ohio, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Toledo Edison customers who remain without power as a result of the severe wind and thunderstorms yesterday evening across Northwest Ohio can receive two bags of ice and two gallons of water at no charge at participating Kroger and Churchill's stores.  Supplies are limited.  Distribution will end at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Participating stores and locations include:

Kroger1094 N. Main St. Bowling Green, Ohio 

Kroger3301 Navarre Oregon, Ohio

Kroger1920 Woodville Oregon, Ohio

Walt Churchill's Market 26625 N. Dixie Highway Perrysburg, Ohio

Also, the American Red Cross will be opening a shelter at Cedar Creek Church at 29129 Lime City Road in Perrysburg at 7 p.m. tonight for residents affected by the storm.

The storm initially disrupted service to almost 25,000 customers, but as of 4 p.m. today, less than 3,200 remained without service.  The majority of customers should be restored to service by Tuesday night, with the remaining outages in the hardest-hit areas in Wood County restored by Wednesday evening.
