New Beginnings At The End Of The Royal Winter Fair
TORONTO, Nov. 10, 2013 /CNW/ - Two lambs were born in the Shel-run livestock sheep exhibit at the 91 st annual Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. Born from a first time mother, the two lambs are healthy boys. Named Royal and Winter after the fair at which they were born, are both Dorper South African Meat -sheep, however, Royal is a mix with a Black Suffolk. Royal weighs approximately 7-8lbs while Winter weighs approximately 3-4lbs.
Nicole Shelley of Shel-run farms anticipated the arrival of these two lambs during the fair, and was hopeful that it would happen earlier so patrons could witness the newcomers. The Shelley's raise and show Dorpers so they are happy to add a couple of new additions to the mix.
The Royal Winter Fair is extremely pleased to have been able to meet these two boys only hours before the fair came to a close for the year.
