Extended Family Care Creates New Employment Opportunities In Reading Area

READING, Pa., Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, November 13, 2013 Extended Family Care will host the Grand Opening Celebration of their newest recruitment office in Reading, Pennsylvania.  The office is located at 2402 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19601.  The event is FREE and open to the public.  Doors will open at 9:00 am and the day's events are expected to conclude at 3:00pm.

The event will feature employment information for all positions including, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Home Health Aides, and Certified Nursing Assistants with a minimum of 1 year of experience.  Being in business since 1938, Extended Family Care has been a reliable, steady employment force in the Allentown, Lancaster and Pittsburgh areas and continues to grow as they open their newest office in Reading.  "We feel we are creating opportunities for the residents of the community who need flexibility from their employer.  People can work 4 hours a week or 40.  We understand that most people these days are extremely busy and we try to provide balance to allow them to meet the constant demands of their personal lives and still work," says Carole Chiego, Administrator of the Allentown and Reading locations.  Being an empathetic employer while providing an opportunity to work in a growing industry has been their recipe for success over 75 years and they are confident they will provide the same advantage for the residents of Berks County.

In addition to employment opportunities, Extended Family Care will serve as a resource for the community. "Our Grand Opening marks our permanent presence in the community", says Stephen Sternbach, President and CEO.  "We want to educate the community regarding the choices they have when receiving health care.''  More people than ever before are choosing to receive care in their own homes rather than recovering or being cared for in a facility.  Extended Family Care provides the option to stay at home and receive medical or non-medical services.  Information about receiving services will also be available during the Grand Opening Celebration.

Grand Opening recruitment events will include on-site testing and interviewing of candidates, as well as music and refreshments.  For more information regarding employment opportunities or questions related to receiving services, please call 610-370-7149.  Extended Family Care is a licensed and certified Home Health agency.  They have been providing in-home care to children and adults across Pennsylvania since 1997.  Services include medical and non-medical in-home assistance from nurses, therapists and aides on a short or long-term basis.  Extended Family Care accepts most insurances as well as private pay cases.
