[video] Quick Take: The Week Ahead: GDP and Jobs

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Although roughly two-thirds of the S&P 500 companies have reported earnings, there are still some big names left to post results.

TheStreet's Brittany Umar, David Peltier and Andrew Krill noted that on Tuesday morning AOL  (AOL), Michael Kors (KORS), Office Depot (ODP) and T-Mobile U.S. (TMUS) will report earnings. After the close Zillow (Z) and Tesla Motors (TSLA) will report.

On Wednesday morning, Ralph Lauren (RL) and Time Warner Cable (TWC) will post results, with Mondelez (MDLZ), Whole Foods Market (WFM) and SolarCity (SCTY) reporting after the close.

On Thursday, third-quarter GDP will be released at 8:30 a.m. EST. Estimates are looking for growth of 1.9%, lower than the 2.5% from the previous quarter. According to Krill, the government furlough can be attributed to part of the contraction.

Also on Thursday, (PCLN), Groupon (GRPN) and Disney (DIS) will report after the close.

After being delayed by one week due to the government shutdown, the nonfarm payrolls report will be released on Friday. Economists are looking for 125,000 jobs to be added to the economy, a lower-than-expected estimate that is once again being plagued by the federal government, Krill said.

Peltier concluded that he would used an economic data-fueled pullback to buy equities.
