ATLANTA, Oct. 22, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq:ANAD) (the "Company"), a world leader in
radio frequency (RF) solutions, today announced that the Company has expanded its surface mount line amplifier family for data over cable service interface specification (DOCSIS) system standard version 3.1. The Company's new 12 V and 24 V line amplifiers deliver exceptional linearity and output power, enabling CATV service providers to increase system bandwidth in support of DOCSIS 3.1. By extending frequencies to 1.2 GHz, DOCSIS 3.1 enables higher data speeds as well as additional high-definition television (HDTV) and video on demand (VOD) services.

"ANADIGICS' CATV infrastructure portfolio continues to set the performance and reliability standard," said Tim Laverick, vice president of Infrastructure Products at ANADIGICS. "Our new DOCSIS 3.1 surface mount line amplifiers deliver industry-leading linearity and output power across an expanded frequency range to support the newest generation of 1.2 GHz downstream equipment. With a heritage of world-class reliability and proven process technologies, we are helping MSOs confidently upgrade their network hardware as they roll out exciting new services made possible by DOCSIS 3.1."
The new ACA1210, ACA1212, ACA1216, ACA2431, ACA2449, and ACA2461 line amplifiers join the previously launched ACA2429 GaN power doubler in providing high signal fidelity over extended frequencies up to 1.2 GHz. These surface mount solutions offer outstanding bit error rate (BER), composite triple beat (CTB), composite second order (CSO), cross modulation and carrier-to-intermodulation noise (CIN) characteristics for optimal performance in a fully-loaded spectrum. ANADIGICS' DOCSIS 3.1 line amplifier family leverages the Company's proven high linearity GaAs MESFET process for world-class reliability along with GaN HEMT technology for high output power and optimum power efficiency.
