Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Take-Two Interactive Software (NASDAQ:TTWO:
$17) has been picked by S&P Capital IQ as its Focus Stock of the Week. TTWO carries S&P Capital IQ's highest investment recommendation of 5-STARS, or Strong Buy. Take-Two Interactive Software is a video game developer that owns two renowned labels: Rockstar Games and 2K.
"The recently released Grand Theft Auto V broke sales records for a video game with global retail sales of more than
$1 billion during its first three days of sales, according to Take-Two's estimates," said
Jim Yin, equity analyst at S&P Capital IQ. "We expect a sales bump as we approach the Christmas shopping season. The 2K label recently released its market leader basketball simulation game, NBA 2K14. We believe this game series along with future titles from established franchises, such as Red Dead Redemption and BioShock, will help Take-Two have a steadier product release schedule, given that a major release of Grand Theft Auto comes out about once every four to five years."
