Quintiq, a global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O), announced today that its customer Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori S.p.A. (NTV), Italy's first private operator on the country's high-speed rail network, has been shortlisted for the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards in the Energy, Utilities & Transport category.
NTV earned its place on the shortlist by submitting documentation of the successful implementation of Quintiq's integrated fleet and workforce planning software, which went live in January 2012. Quintiq's software enhanced the utilization of all operational resources, including real-time rescheduling and disruption management data, and resulted in a 94.4% on-time rate, to the delight of more than 4 million passengers."Quintiq's system helped us utilize our resources more efficiently, leading to improved service for our customers," said Paolo Ripa, COO at NTV.
