TE Connectivity (TE) introduces new high-density fiber solutions at OSP EXPO, held October 8 through October 10, 2013 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Innovations TE is showcasing include the NG4access value-added modules (VAMs), Rapid Fiber panels and FiberGuide raceway which provide a complete system for ensuring fast fiber construction and easier equipment connections in high fiber count networks.

Ensuring network operators have ease of access to fiber cable and connectors, and better flexibility to perform network maintenance and changes is critical to meeting that goal.”
, which is comprised of an optical distribution frame, universal chassis, LC or SC adapter packs, MPO modules and cabled modules, now features an innovative solution set of front and rear port NG4access VAMs. These VAMs consist of monitor, CWDM and DWDM optical components and offer easy integration into optical transmission systems for increasing fiber capacity, troubleshooting or distributing signals to multiple subscribers. With a single click, VAMs seamlessly install in TE’s NG4access chassis – enabling fast installation and service turn-ups. Up to 24 VAMs can be installed per chassis, and are available in both SC and LC connector interfaces with angled and ultra polished configurations.
Rapid Fiber panel
serves as a key distribution between the ODF and active equipment. Utilizing the unique RapidReel fiber cable spool, Rapid Fiber panel pays-out dual 12-fiber 3 mm microcable – which means the cable is always the right length. Available in 100-feet increments (up to 1000 feet), the microcable terminates to an LC cabled module on the far end. The low-profile cabled module with integrated connectors ensures the cables are kept in sequential order, and help prevent accidental fiber breakage or disruption to adjacent fiber during installation. Cabled modules promote easy routing and installation of the fiber cable to the NG4access ODF, where multiple connectors are terminated to the frame with a single click. Rapid Fiber panel’s microcable, fiber cable spool and cabled module technology helps relieve cable congestion and simplify cable ordering and inventory requirements.
FiberGuide flex exit
is the latest innovation to emerge in the FiberGuide raceway system, which helps to protect and route fiber optic patch cords, multifiber cable assemblies and intrafacility cable to and from fiber closures, frames and optical terminal devices. The FiberGuide flex exit solution ensures a precise fiber drop of cable from the raceway system into TE’s NG4access ODF or other high-density frame solution. The solution easily installs on the sidewall of 12-inch or 24-inch raceway systems, and promotes 4-, 6- or 12-inch fiber drops. Bend radius protection is maintained throughout the raceway system – ensuring uninterrupted, optimal fiber performance.
