YONKERS, N.Y., Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hudson Valley Bank named James P. Blose, Esq., to serve as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, a newly created position, of the $3.0 billion-asset commercial bank.
Mr. Blose has more than 15 years of experience serving as outside counsel to Hudson Valley Bank. He will be responsible for the direction of the bank's legal operations, commercial lending documents and loan closings, as well as the corporate secretarial functions.

Prior to joining Hudson Valley, Blose was a partner with the law firm of Griffin, Coogan, Blose, Sulzer & Horgan, P.C., located in Bronxville, New York, where he specialized in banking law, commercial lending and commercial real estate transactions. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton and a law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. A Trumbull, Connecticut resident, Blose is a member of the New York, Connecticut and New Jersey bar associations, as well as a member of the New York State Banker's Association Lawyer's Advisory Committee.
