Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hudson Valley Bank named James P. Blose, Esq., to serve as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, a newly created position, of the
$3.0 billion-asset commercial bank.
Mr. Blose has more than 15 years of experience serving as outside counsel to
Hudson Valley Bank. He will be responsible for the direction of the bank's legal operations, commercial lending documents and loan closings, as well as the corporate secretarial functions.
"Jim has been advising the Company on general legal matters, contracts and loan closings for many years. He is intimately familiar with our processes and our operations. Now is the right time to bring Jim in-house as we continue to strengthen the management team," said Mr. Brown.
Prior to joining
Hudson Valley, Blose was a partner with the law firm of Griffin, Coogan, Blose, Sulzer & Horgan, P.C., located in
Bronxville, New York, where he specialized in banking law, commercial lending and commercial real estate transactions. He holds a bachelor's degree from the
University of Scranton and a law degree from
Quinnipiac University School of Law. A
Trumbull, Connecticut resident, Blose is a member of the
New Jersey bar associations, as well as a member of the
New York State Banker's Association Lawyer's Advisory Committee. Active in the community, Blose serves as a Director of the Hudson Valley National Foundation and is a current member of the Town Council for the Town of Trumbull.
Blose's appointment to serve as General Counsel of
Hudson Valley Bank and its parent company, Hudson Valley Holding Corp. (NYSE: HVB) is effective immediately.
